 Supporting Small Businesses,
Bringing Down Costs and Protecting Workers

Too many Southern Californians are struggling to get by and get ahead. The costs of basic necessities like food and gas are still too high, and we are not getting enough for what we pay in taxes. It’s time for a commonsense approach to rebalancing our economy in favor of working people and the small businesses that are the foundation of our local economy.

As a small business owner, I understand the challenges of managing payroll, providing benefits, and staying true to our mission. I started an art gallery out of my home, and for the first year was its only employee. Over the next decade, I would grow this small idea into a thriving international business –employing people across multiple states and countries. My story is one of creative entrepreneurship and relentless perseverance—a true American success story.

I am committed to ensuring small businesses and workers have the same opportunities in the future to grow their dreams like I had. Common sense laws and regulations should stimulate the growth of businesses at home and abroad. We need leaders with real-world experiences to develop policies to create jobs that not only sustain families but also help them invest in their futures.

What we need:

  • Tax relief for middle- and working-class families and small businesses.

  • Tax reform that levels the playing field by eliminating tax loopholes that only benefit billionaires and big corporations

  • Immediate action to combat inflation and economic pressures resulting from breakdowns in supply chains

  • An end to the price-gouging inflicted on working people and small businesses by massive corporate monopolies and demanding that the antitrust division at the DOJ does its job.

  • Ensure that large corporations can’t use their power to compete unfairly and drive our local small businesses into bankruptcy through illegal market manipulation.
